
In this deliverable, we present the metabolomic profiles of 57 moss accessions derived fromaxenic cultures and provided within the framework of the BRYOMOLECULES project. The tableincludes the moss species, relevant additional information, sample codes, and the identifiedcompounds. The taxonomic identification of some of the species is still under verification andmay be subjected to revision.Moss samples were extracted using diethyl ether followed by methanol/chloroform (2:1, v/v). Inthe first step, the material was homogenized in a mortar with diethyl ether. The extracts weretransferred to vials, evaporated to dryness, and stored at −20°C until further analysis. Afterevaporation of diethyl ether at room temperature in the mortar, the remaining material was re-extracted with methanol/chloroform (2:1, v/v). The extracts were transferred to 20 mL glass vialsand subjected to ultrasound treatment for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the samples were filteredthrough a 17 mm, 0.22 μm PTFE hydrophobic syringe filter, transferred to vials, and evaporatedto dryness. The dried extracts were stored at −20°C until further analysis.Samples were analyzed using advanced mass spectrometry–based techniques. Ether extractswere examined by gas chromatography coupled with electron impact ionization and a singlequadrupole mass analyzer (GC–MS–EI–Q), as well as by high-performance liquidchromatography combined with high-resolution accurate mass spectrometry and electrosprayionization using a quadrupole time-of-flight analyzer (HPLC–HRAM–MS–ESI–QToF), operated inboth negative and positive ionization modes. Methanol–chloroform extracts were analyzedexclusively by HPLC–HRAM–MS–ESI–QToF in both negative and positive ionization modes.Compound identification was carried out based on available spectral libraries, referencestandards, and characteristic fragmentation patterns.The attached table lists all 57 mosses accessions. The first column provides the serial number(No., 1–57). The second column indicates the species name, while the third column containsrelevant additional information.
