Numerical modeling results for Episodic mobile-lid tectonics controlled by the competition between mantle convective stress and lithospheric yielding strength

Numerical modeling results for Episodic mobile-lid tectonics controlled by the competition between mantle convective stress and lithospheric yielding strength

Abstract

The compressed file 'Viscosity_profile.zip' contains the 9 viscosity profiles (test_eta00*) of the reference model (Figure 1). Opensource software StagLab (www.fabiocrameri.ch/software) is required to open the test_eta00* files. The compressed file 'time_evolution.zip' contains the raw data for Figures 2–7. Specifically, the '-l.dat' files provide the lithospheric thickness; the '-pmv.dat' files contain data for plateness, mobility, and RMS surface velocity; and the '*-th.dat' files record the average mantle temperature and surface heat flux. In all data files, the first column represents time.
