Servicios bibliotecarios inclusivos para la juventud LGBTIQ+

Abstract

Servicios bibliotecarios inclusivos para la juventud LGBTIQ+ es un recurso educativo abierto (OER) desarrollado en el marco del proyecto europeo GEDIS – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education. El material aborda el papel de las bibliotecas como espacios de apoyo, acompañamiento e inclusión para la juventud LGBTIQ+, especialmente durante procesos de búsqueda de información y construcción de identidad. El recurso presenta, de forma sintética y visual, los principales desafíos que enfrenta la juventud LGBTIQ+ en relación con la fiabilidad de la información y la percepción de la biblioteca como espacio seguro. Asimismo, ofrece orientaciones prácticas para el desarrollo de servicios bibliotecarios inclusivos, incluyendo la adquisición de materiales específicos, la señalización y organización temática de colecciones, y la implementación de programas educativos y de apoyo. El contenido se fundamenta en literatura académica reciente sobre comportamiento informacional y procesos de “salir del armario”, así como en el marco de derechos humanos promovido por la IFLA. Dirigido a personal bibliotecario, profesorado y estudiantado del ámbito de la Información y la Documentación, este recurso fomenta la integración de la perspectiva de género y diversidad en los servicios bibliotecarios y en la educación superior.
