This article is devoted to the study of the functional features of expressive syntactic means in literary texts. The analysis of the functioning of syntactic devices makes it possible to conclude that one of the main functions performed by these means is the function of foregrounding, that is, emphasizing the most significant elements of the text, which represents the realization of the literary text’s orientation toward impact on the reader. Syntactic devices not only structure discourse but also contribute to rhythm, meaning, and emotional impact.
