ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed, more vehemently than ever, the capital-life conflicts in our socio-economic model: The lack of elderly’s rights protection in long-term nursing homes, the precarious conditions of the health care system, the feminization of jobs that provide intensive and face to face care, as well as the unsustainability of work-family conflict. Although it seems that caring is more valued than ever, the difficulties faced by women caregivers of dependent relatives still remain hidden. The responsibility transfer to them means they must face an unknown disease in solitude with less support than ever before. We will reflect on what extent the social organization of care has provided the conditions that enable women to continue caring of dependent relatives in the COVID-19 even though the psychosocial consequences. Key words: COVID-19, caregivers, gender, psychosocial health, social organization of care.
