Abstract

El documento "El Ingeniero en Mantenimiento de Venezuela: Claves para la Era Digital", elaborado por el Ing. Luis A. Vargas P., es un artículo técnico-académico que analiza la transformación de la gestión de activos en el país bajo el paradigma de la Industria 4.0. Su objetivo principal es definir el nuevo perfil y las competencias estratégicas que el ingeniero venezolano debe desarrollar para transitar desde un mantenimiento correctivo tradicional hacia modelos predictivos y prescriptivos altamente tecnificados. A través de un recorrido por la evolución histórica del área y la integración de tecnologías como el IIoT, la Inteligencia Artificial y la Realidad Aumentada, el texto busca establecer una hoja de ruta que garantice la operatividad y sostenibilidad de sectores críticos como el petrolero, eléctrico y alimentario, destacando la resiliencia y el ingenio como herramientas fundamentales para superar las limitaciones del entorno económico local
