Abstract

In 1672, Juan González Ortega, a priest and beneficiado of the church of Campillos (Málaga), endowed this parish with a minstrel to accompany the viaticum on its visits, which was managed by the confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament of that town. This position was maintained for at least a century and was complemented by the position of a second minstrel, whose salary came from the church's incomes (Fabrica).
