ENPOWER_WSED2026_Project_presentation_poster

Abstract

This poster presents an overview of the ENPOWER project, a Horizon Europe initiative (Grant Agreement No. 101160253) aimed at strengthening the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL) as a centre of excellence in research and innovation on energy poverty, energy-efficient buildings, and sustainable housing. It outlines the project’s main objectives, consortium, methodological approach, and four applied case studies focusing on public building retrofit, renewable energy integration in rural communities, smart energy systems and AI, and socio-economic and governance dimensions of energy poverty. The poster also highlights the role of the BAS Living Lab as a platform for co-creation and knowledge exchange among academia, public authorities, industry, and civil society. The poster was presented by UNIBL, project coordinator of ENPOWER, in the framework of the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) 2026, held in Wels, Austria, from 24 to 27 February 2026.
