TraitDB is a web application built to facilitate storage, searching, subsetting, and sharing trait data. Data are loaded from CSV files and organized into projects. Each project has a template for datasets, and TraitDB performs extensive validation when CSV files are uploaded. This is the TraitDB version currently deployed as an application at NESCent on a development server, and planned to be the one deployed for the Tree of Sex dataset by NESCent working group member Heath Blackmon (see The Tree of Sex Consortium (2014) Tree of Sex: A database of sexual systems. Sci. Data 1:140015 doi:10.1038/sdata.2014.15).
