Despite its significant economic growth in recent decades, Bangladesh continues to grapple with persistent political instability, governance shortcomings, and the inability of its political leadership to promote equitable development. This study rigorously analyses the many factors contributing to the failures of Bangladeshi politics and politicians. This research identifies key problems in party politics, widespread corruption, favouritism, and a weak democratic culture as the main reasons for ineffective politics, by looking at historical, institutional, social, economic, and cultural perspectives. This study enhances the debate on political governance in South Asia and provides proposals for institutional reforms and political accountability.
