Release Note (2026-02-27) This document is being shared as a working draft to support collaboration with the broader community. The content reflects ongoing development and is intended to solicit feedback, discussion, and contributions. The proposed checkers described in this document, tailored to NASA ESDIS data products, are preliminary and have not yet been formally validated or verified. They are provided to stimulate discussion, testing, and refinement. Users should not rely on them as authoritative or production-ready tools at this stage. Although the effort has been on hold since the working group concluded in September 2025, we welcome comments, suggested improvements, and validation insights to help strengthen and mature the O’FAIR Data Guide Checklist and the guidance for developing an O’FAIR data compliance dashboard.
