THE IMPACT OF THE INTERNET ON MODERN YOUTH: OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT AND RISKS OF THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The arrival of the internet changed youth development deep down. It presents both great chances and serious risks. Young people today grew up as digital natives. They use online sites for social time, facts, and fun. This connection with technology supports an environment for learning and creativity. But it includes dangers that we cannot ignore. Research shows that the internet helps personal growth. It also builds habits that stop independent thought and clear choices . The online world has a conflicting nature. Without guidance, young people face threats to their safety and values . Policymakers must start digital literacy programs. These steps teach youth to use the digital world responsibly.
