This dataset presents spatial and descriptive information for reported Mature Harappan archaeological sites in eastern Kachchh (Kutch), Gujarat, India. It integrates legacy archaeological records with field-verified GPS coordinates, remote sensing–derived site extents, and environmental description including geomorphology, soil type, administrative location, and proximity to drainage. The dataset was developed as part of doctoral research (2024–2026) and distinguishes between field-relocated sites, GPS-documented legacy sites, and sites not relocated during survey, thereby indicating levels of spatial certainty. Coordinates are provided in WGS84 (EPSG:4326), with analytical measurements conducted in UTM Zone 42N (EPSG:32642). Derived variables include site area (hectares) and shortest planar distance to the nearest drainage channel calculated in QGIS. The dataset is intended for archaeological, landscape, and heritage management research in South Asia. Released under CC BY 4.0.
