SeaChange Marine Conservation Society has been conducting monitoring surveys and transplant efforts for seagrass beds at multiple sites along Vancouver Island and the Salish Sea. All monitoring data was collected during dives along a transect by SeaChange divers to assess the health and density of seagrass beds between August 2015 - December 2023. Environmental data was collected via installation of HOBO loggers at sites. This data was compiled, cleaned, and archived as part of the Canadian Institute of Ecology & Evolution (CIEE) Living Data Project internship, a nationwide initiative to preserve and archive legacy datasets in ecology, evolution and environmental science. Data collection for this project is ongoing and will be updated as new data are available. The project was partially funded by the DFO Coastal Restoration Funda and the Pacific Salmon Foundation.
