Abstract

Este libro está concebido para ser una herramienta de apoyo a la asignatura Mecánica de Fluidos, que se imparte durante el semestre de otoño en el tercer curso del grado en Ingeniería del Automóvil de la Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, y que consta de 6 créditos ECTS dentro del Espacio Europeo de Enseñanza Superior. Por extensión, los autores consideramos que este texto puede ser válido para el estudio de un asignatura de introducción a la Física de Fluidos en otros grados de ingeniería, o el grado de Física, dentro del mismo contexto. El libro consta de tres capítulos ordenados de forma relativa a la complejidad del flujo que se analiza en cada caso. Asimismo, se ha tratado de introducir los conceptos físicos en cada capítulo siguiendo un orden correlativo a su descubrimiento o publicación desde un punto de vista histórico, ya que la Física de fluidos (como muchos otros campos de la ciencia) ha evolucionado históricamente de una forma natural hacia el análisis y comprensión de fenómenos cada vez más complejos.
