
En este trabajo se muestra el ajuste del modelo de Max-Burkhart considerado como no lineal, para cinco especies de Pinus: P. ayacahuite, P. montezumae, P. patula, P. pseudostrobus y P. teocote, para diversas localidades del centro del estado de Veracruz, México. Para la determinación de los coeficientes del modelo para cada especie y sitio se emplea el algoritmo de Levenberg-Marquardt que se encuentra implementado en el package minpack de R. Como ejemplo se comparan de forma gráfica los ajustes obtenidos de esta manera con el modelo lineal optimizado para Pinus ayacahuite en Ingenio del Rosario y Pinus teocote en Los Molinos.
