Open-Access-Publizieren in der Materialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik: Best Practices, Tipps und Services

Abstract

In den Materialwissenschaften und der Werkstofftechnik, einem stark interdisziplinären Forschungsfeld, existieren eine Vielfalt an Publikationsstrategien und -optionen. Prägend sind dabei häufig die Publikationskulturen der Grundlagendisziplinen (Chemie, Physik) ebenso wie jene der anwendungsorientierten Disziplinen (Ingenieurwissenschaften). Dies betrifft auch das Open-Access-Publizieren, bei dem Forschungsergebnisse frei zugänglich und nachnutzbar veröffentlicht werden. Viele Forschende stehen Open Access grundsätzlich positiv gegenüber. In der praktischen Umsetzung zeigen sich jedoch oft komplexe Fragestellungen – sei es zu rechtlichen oder finanziellen Aspekten, zur Qualitätssicherung oder zur kommerziellen Verwertbarkeit von Forschungsergebnissen. In dem kostenfreien Webinar werden grundlegende Kenntnisse über aktuelle Open-Access-Publikationswege vermittelt und Unterstützungsangebote vorgestellt.
