Abstract

Lindernia procumbens MORRIÃO-PROSTRADO * ® LINDERNIACEAE Lindernia procumbens é uma planta com ampla distribuição global que em Portugal continental é avaliada como Regionalmente Extinta, porque atualmente não é conhecido nenhum indivíduo sobrevivente em território nacional, apesar das prospeções realizadas nos seus locais de ocorrência histórica em que foi colhida no passado e noutros locais onde havia registos da planta, cuja determinação taxonómica se veio a verificar errónea. Os únicos registos confirmados em Portugal continental localizavam-se no trecho jusante do rio Minho, onde não se deteta esta espécie há cerca de 70 anos. Dada a sua biologia, novas prospeções devem ser realizadas ao longo das margens do rio Minho e suas ínsuas. A manutenção das condições do habitat favorável será essencial para um futuro regresso ou reintrodução desta planta.
