LÁ VEM A CHUVA: SIG INDICADOR DE POSSÍVEIS ALAGAMENTOS NA CIDADE DE CASTANHAL-PA

Abstract

Eventos climáticos extremos tornaram-se mais frequentes na Amazônia Oriental, impactando o planejamento urbano e a qualidade de vida. Castanhal-PA, situada a 77 km de Belém, apresenta vulnerabilidades ligadas à urbanização rápida, impermeabilização do solo e drenagem deficiente, resultando em alagamentos recorrentes. Este estudo analisa séries históricas (1981–2024) de precipitação e temperatura, utilizando dados CHIRPS e geotecnologias (Google Earth Engine e QGIS). Os resultados indicam forte sazonalidade, aumento da frequência de extremos hídricos e tendência de aquecimento, associados a fenômenos como El Niño e La Niña. As geotecnologias mostraram-se essenciais para identificar áreas críticas e subsidiar políticas públicas de mitigação de riscos socioambientais.
