Abstract

L'aspect du sujet abordé dans cette étude. Cette étude a analysé rétrospectivement 114 cas de PFP hospitalisés sur 5 ans à Libreville, décrivant leur profil épidémiologique, leurs étiologies et leur évolution sous traitement standardisé. Ce que cette étude apporte de nouveau. Elle révèle que 65,8 % des PFP au Gabon sont des formes a frigore, suivies des causes infectieuses (28,9 %), avec une proportion non négligeable de cas associés au VIH (4,4 %). Le délai de consultation est rapide (75 % dans la première semaine). Sous traitement médical (corticoïdes, antiviraux), la récupération complète à 6 mois atteint 64 %, et 29 % des patients gardent des séquelles partielles.
