This deposit brings together two complementary files prepared within The Secret Life of Writing: People, Script, and Ideas in the Iberian Peninsula (c. 900–1200) (ERC StG 850604): (1) an Excel dataset compiling the database for the Galician documentary corpus analysed in the project, and (2) a document listing the bibliographical references on which the dataset and its analytical categories rely. The spreadsheet assembles structured records for individual items, combining core documentary metadata with fields devised to support controlled palaeographical description and comparison. The two files are provided as a reusable research package. The Excel file is designed to facilitate filtering, cross-referencing, and comparative work across documents, hands, and local contexts, while the accompanying references document makes the scholarly and editorial basis of the dataset explicit, supporting transparent reuse and consistent citation of the underpinning literature. This dataset can also be accesed through the search engine on PeopleAndWriting's project website.
