The paper highlights the importance of geography in informed planning and development, disaster management, environmental monitoring, smart city development, and governance. It also discusses the role of geography in addressing regional inequalities and the digital divide by supporting evidence-based decision-making. Overall, the study emphasises that the integration of digital technologies with geographic analysis has expanded the relevance of geography, making it a vital tool for sustainable development and effective management of natural and human resources in an increasingly digital world.
