Presentation given at the LinkML Community Meeting on 2026-02-19. It introduces the new copier-based LinkML project template (linkml-project-copier) which replaced the previous cookiecutter-based template. The talk covers the motivation for the migration (better Windows support, easier updates, improved CLI), the new tooling choices (copier instead of cookiecutter, just instead of make), and the updated project directory layout.A live demo walks through creating a new LinkML project with the template (recording at LinkML youtube channel).
