This repository contains the datasets for the reproduction of results of: "Experimental validation of the Sea Surface Calibration for scanning lidar static elevation offset determination", Journal of Physics, Conference Series, 2026, Paul Meyer, Andreas Rott, Jörge Schneemann, Lukas Pauscher, Kira Gramitzky and Martin Kühn. If you use the the data, please cite this dataset accordingly. The content of the repository is as follows: SeaSurfacCalibration_Results.zip: RAW scanning wind lidar measurements of a Vaisala WindCubeScan 200S performed during the aforemenetioned validation campaign. There are multiple directories, that contain the data in Vaisala typical netCDF format for: A_Starring - Starring into the water at fixed azimuth and elevation, solely changing the range gate length B_CornerScan - Scan of an hard target/water interface, consisting of multiple PPI measurements at varying elevations. C_SSC Scans - SeaSurfaceCalibration Scans performed in the harbour, with 25m and 50m range gate length HardTarget - Two PPI scans, where hard targets are hit to calibrate the pulse shape Hard_Target_Mapping.xlsc - Excel/openoffice file with the hard target mapping results obtained during the setup of the scanning lidar with conventional hard target mapping pegelonline.. - Water level obtained from a closeby station See this link for the description OffshoreSSC_scan.nc - netCDF file for an SSC scan in an offshore application (including some motion) as examplary dataset for the lidalign python package Please contact the authors if you like to collaborate or find problems with the code/data. paul.meyer@uni-oldenburg.de andreas.rott@uni-oldenburg.de
