Abstract

Ropalidia fita Polašek, 2025 Observations. Mozambique • 3 ♀♀, nest; Muanza, Sofala; 19.01092°S, 34.67708°E; 1 Oct 2024; obs Ismenia Sitoe; (Sitoe 2024) Zambia • 4 ♀♀, 2 nests; J. Lazy J. Sanctuary, Lusaka Central, Lusaka; 15.49645°S, 28.45342°E; 22 Nov 2020 and 31 Oct 2021; obs Nico Vromant; (Vromant 2020, 2021). Nest. This species builds elongated nests, with a 2 * n formula (Sitoe 2024). The cell wall is ferruginous, with lightly greenish horizontal streaks, and whitish cocoon caps with cell wall pulp on their surface (Vromant 2020).
