
The article analyzes the problem of developing students' thinking from apedagogical and psychological point of view. The study considers thinking as a mentalprocess that plays an important role in students' cognitive activity, and highlights effectivemethods for forming its logical, critical and creative types. The impact of problem-basedlearning, interactive methods, project activities, discussion and tasks aimed atindependent thinking used in the educational process on the development of students'thinking is substantiated. The article also examines pedagogical conditions that serve to develop thinking,taking into account the age and individual characteristics of students. The results of thestudy allow us to develop methodological recommendations aimed at increasing theintellectual potential of students in the educational process, developing their consciousassimilation of knowledge and independent thinking skills
