Abstract

L'aspect du sujet abordé dans cette étude. Cette étude a mesuré, chez 317 mères consultant à Douala, la prévalence du burnout maternel par l'échelle PBA, puis celle de la dépression (échelle PHQ-9) spécifiquement chez les femmes présentant un burnout confirmé. Ce que cette étude apporte de nouveau. Elle objective une prévalence du burnout maternel de 5,4 % dans cette population. Surtout, elle révèle que 94,1 % des femmes en situation de burnout souffrent également de dépression, dont 70,6 % de formes modérées à sévères. L'association est quasi systématique.
