Violence au travail et humiliation : la face cachée du milieu professionnel

Abstract

A l’ère de la digitalisation et des évolutions technologiques, les organisations sont contraintes de repenser leurs politiques et leur mode de fonctionnement pour être performantes et compétitives. En exerçant une pression exacerbée et permanente sur leurs employés, elles créent un climat prédisposant à l’éclosion de la violence. Cette violence a des conséquences émotionnelles délétères.L’objectif de cette recherche est de comprendre en profondeur pourquoi la violence au travail peut générer de l’humiliation. Ainsi, 32 entretiens semi-directifs sont menés auprès de personnel bancaire. Nos résultats montrent que la violence au travail génère de l’humiliation car elle constitue non seulement une violation à la justice organisationnelle mais un mécanisme de domination également. La banalisation de la violence et l’absence de mesures préventives participent à l’intensification des conflits au travail et à l’émergence de plusieurs drames.
