Original fish-eye camera images from an upward looking cloud camera at the urban rooftop weather station Freiburg-Chemiehochhaus (FRCHEM, 7.8486ºE, 48.0011ºN, 323.5 m) from the year 2020. Images have been recorded every 10 minutes, day and night, using a CC5MPXFE camera with 2592 × 1984 pixels (Campbell Scientific Inc., Logan UT, USA) installed at roof level with a hemispheric lens view. Files are sorted in packages per month, so e.g. 2020-01.tar.gz contains all images from January 2020. Images have been recorded every 10 minutes and are named according to the following scheme: UNIFR_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_II_SS.jpg where Y = year, M = month, d = day of month, h = hour of day (00-24), i = minutes (00-59), and s = seconds (00 - 59). All times are given in UTC. Seconds may slighlty vary depending on internal clock. The camera has been alinged so the top of the image points to geographic North (N), left is West (W), right is East (E) and bottom is South (S). The image "sky_camera_mask.svg" provides an overlay with cardinal directions indicated. For orientation, the image shows the top of the weather station mast with the red light and anemometer to the W and a lightning protection rod to the ESE. Images can contain dust, snow and raid droplets on the hemispherical housing. Due to a technical issue, selected images under high sunlight conditions are recorded in black.
