Abstract Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials that are freely available for use, adaptation, and sharing without any cost. OERs are released under open licenses, which make education more accessible and affordable for all learners around the world. OERs have a significant role in minimizing the cost of education, enhancing the quality of learning, and achieving inclusive education. This paper will present the types, benefits and significance of Open Educational Resources in contemporary education systems.
