
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) plays a crucial role in the design and development of modern computing systems by enhancing the way users interact with technology. With the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, and wearable devices, HCI has evolved significantly in recent years. This review paper discusses major advancements in HCI, including natural user interfaces, voice-based interaction, gesture recognition, and immersive systems. It also highlights key challenges such as usability, accessibility, privacy, security, and user experience design. Furthermore, the paper explores future research directions to make human-computer interaction more intuitive, efficient, and user-centered. The study concludes that continuous innovation in HCI is essential for building smarter and more user-friendly computing systems.
