Abstract

L'aspect du sujet abordé dans cette étude. Cette étude a déterminé par PCR en temps réel la prévalence du CT chez 111 hommes consultant pour infertilité dans deux hôpitaux de référence de Douala, et a recherché les facteurs associés à l'infertilité masculine. Ce que cette étude apporte de nouveau. La prévalence du CT est de 10,8 %, confirmant la circulation active de cette bactérie chez les hommes infertiles camerounais. L'oligo-asthénospermie est l'anomalie spermatique dominante (43,2 %). L'âge de 30–39 ans est significativement associé à l'infertilité primaire. L'alcoolisme (68,4 %) et la varicocèle (34,3 %) sont les cofacteurs les plus fréquents. Aucune association statistique directe n'est retrouvée entre CT et infertilité, suggérant un effet synergique avec d'autres facteurs.
