This project seeks to explore these multidimensional aspects of Blockchain adoption, focusing on three critical areas: (1) analysing consumer perception and the impact of public initiatives and sectoral utilities, such as the adoption of the payment and financing system (Lara-Rubio et al., 2021), (2) the evaluation of its practical applications in different sectors such as tourism or education, among others (Gálvez-Sánchez et al., 2021; Prados-Castillo et al., 2022), and (3) the analysis of the economic and tax barriers that limit its effective implementation (Martínez Torres, 2022). Through this analysis, this project seeks to identify the key factors that facilitate or hinder the adoption of blockchain by consumers, businesses and the public sector (hereinafter, stakeholders involved) and also aims to take the first steps towards establishing the foundations of an economic and tax viability model that can guide future policies and strategies for implementing this technology to be applied to different stakeholders and economic sectors.
