Abstract

Abstract (english) The LOLS Education Lab (Abundance University) is a Switzerland-based international immersive research framework dedicated to intergenerational collaboration, Digital Literacy development, and pedagogical experimentation within structured digital environments in ECOSYSTEM VLG world. Building upon the Abundance University Digital Literacy model (2021), the Lab introduces an ethically governed immersive living lab using Minecraft Education as an institutional educational infrastructure. The initiative focuses on studying collaborative dynamics between youth, adults, and seniors through scenario-based immersive environments designed for structured observation and applied learning. The framework integrates methodological research protocols, governance principles, data protection considerations, and replicability standards, enabling international adaptation while maintaining ethical oversight. Rather than positioning itself as a gaming initiative, the LOLS Education Lab defines a research-driven immersive educational architecture combining Digital Literacy, emerging technologies awareness, collaborative governance experimentation, and intergenerational engagement. This white paper presents the conceptual foundations, operational structure, and research orientation of the Lab as a division of Abundance University and ECOSYSTEM VLG World. --- Résumé (français) Le LOLS Education Lab (Abundance University) est un cadre international de recherche immersive basé en Suisse, dédié à la collaboration intergénérationnelle, au développement de la Digital Literacy et à l’expérimentation pédagogique au sein d’environnements numériques structurés dans ECOSYSTEM VLG world. S’inscrivant dans la continuité du modèle Digital Literacy d’Abundance University (2021), le Lab met en place un living lab immersif gouverné éthiquement, utilisant Minecraft Education comme infrastructure éducative institutionnelle. L’initiative vise à étudier les dynamiques collaboratives entre jeunes, adultes et seniors à travers des environnements immersifs scénarisés, conçus pour l’observation structurée et l’apprentissage appliqué. Le cadre intègre des protocoles méthodologiques de recherche, des principes de gouvernance, des exigences de protection des données et des standards de réplicabilité, permettant une adaptation internationale tout en maintenant une supervision éthique rigoureuse. Le LOLS Education Lab ne se positionne pas comme une initiative ludique, mais comme une architecture éducative immersive orientée recherche, combinant Digital Literacy, sensibilisation aux technologies émergentes, expérimentation de gouvernance collaborative et engagement intergénérationnel. Ce white paper présente les fondements conceptuels, la structure opérationnelle et l’orientation scientifique du Lab en tant que division d’Abundance University et d’ECOSYSTEM VLG World.
