Acanthogonatus centralis Grismado & Goloboff, 2014: 113, figs 10, 11 (♂). Type material. Holotype. Argentina • 1 ♂; Buenos Aires, Sierra de la Ventana, between Pringles and Saavedra; 26–29 Aug. 1987; P. Goloboff leg.; MACN -Ar 48890, examined. Paratype. Argentina • 1 ♀; same data as holotype; MACN -Ar 48915, examined. Diagnosis. Males of Acanthogonatus centralis can be recognized by the palpal bulb without keels bearing seven subapical prolateral teeth (Fig. 5 A – D), a characteristic that differentiate it from A. monicae sp. nov. in combination with a well-developed tibial apophysis bearing two short and stout spines. Additionally, females differ from A. monicae sp. nov. by having spermathecae with an oval-shaped receptacle bearing a blunt apex and an internal projection shorter than the receptacle itself. They also differ from A. parana by the widened fundus of the spermathecae (Fig. 5 E, F). Description. See Goloboff (1995). Distribution. Restricted to the south-western mountain ranges of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina (Fig. 10).
