tidexcorr implements a lag-regression framework for reconstructing sparse, short, or discontinuous water-level records from neighboring gauges. The method preserves physical consistency and supports long-term analysis, data quality control, and extreme-event characterization in estuarine, coastal, and inland systems. The source code implements the lag-regression framework presented in: Matte, P. and Innocenti, S. (2026). Filling gaps and extending inland tide gauge records to support accurate long-term and extreme water level analyses. Under review in Continental Shelf Research.
