Abstract

Among the various genres of Hindi literature, satire is an important genre. Satire may also be called the discerning vision of literature, because through literature it searches out the various evils of society and presents them wrapped in the sweetness of humor. Its special feature is that it makes the burning problems of society a subject of both pleasure and pain for the reader at the same time. In the field of satire, Harishankar Parsai and Sharad Joshi are extremely renowned names. Their satire skillfully exposes the distortions and inconsistencies of society. The present research paper is an attempt to provide a brief analysis of the developmental journey of Harishankar Parsai and Sharad Joshi.”
