Abstract

The book “Copyright and Artificial Intelligence: Authorship and Ownership in AI Products” inaugurates a new perspective on the issue of copyright, being the most relevant work in Brazil in the field of intellectual property research concerning creations derived from artificial intelligence. Authored by Luca Schirru, PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Public Policies, Strategies and Development at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the work originated from his defended doctoral thesis, but does not fully integrate all aspects of it and presents structural changes. Furthermore, the author is a practicing lawyer in the field of intellectual property, participating in several research groups on the subject, especially the Research Group on Artificial Intelligence and Inclusion at ITS, as well as being a guest university professor in the postgraduate course in Intellectual Property Law at PUC-RJ.
