In the research, the main physical and mechanical properties of soils in the Surkhandarya region—including loess, saline and solonchak, mountain and foothill, sandy and loamy soils—were analyzed in terms of density, porosity, moisture status, compaction level, plasticity, and susceptibility to erosion.
