Culpa colectiva y renovación religiosa en Max Scheler

Abstract

 Este trabajo analiza el planteamiento de Max Scheler sobre la necesidad de unarenovación religiosa en Europa tras la Primera Guerra Mundial, atendiendo a su críticadel positivismo, del panteísmo y de la supuesta bancarrota del cristianismo. A partir de lanoción de culpa colectiva, Scheler propone el arrepentimiento común como punto departida de dicha renovación, asignando a la filosofía un papel preparatorio y pedagógico.El ensayo ofrece, además, una valoración crítica de estas tesis, señalando los problemaséticos y epistemológicos que conlleva la disolución de responsabilidades concretas, laexclusión de la experiencia religiosa del análisis crítico y la identificación del malhistórico con el alejamiento del cristianismo.
