Digital elevation model and sedimentary cover of the Alto Guadiana area

Abstract

This dataset is made of 5 files and has been created to build up a 3D model using Oasis Montaj (from Seequent). The model has been used for the calculation of the stored (heat in place) and recoverable heat in the Cretaceous and Jurassic sedimentary layers using 3DHIP software. Study area: 300000 / 585000 / 4175000 / 4460000 Coordinates of all data: ETRS89 UTM30N in m Geological model Is made of five layers. The top of the model is the topography, the base of the model is set at a depth of 10000 m bsl Format ● Each of the model files has three columns: X, Y, Z, where X, Y are the coordinates and Z is the depth/elevation to the corresponding layer. ● For the elevation, Z is positive, in m. For the rest of the files, Z, in m, is negative downwards. ● Files have been exported as ASCII files from Oasis Montaj grids with a grid space of 1000 m Files Elevation: MDT_IGN_1000m.xyz Base of Tertiary: 1-BaseTerciario.xyz Base of Cretaceous: 2-BaseCretacico.xyz Base of Jurassic: 3-BaseJurasico.xyz Top of the basement: 4-TechoBasamento.xyz References Geological model Informe SID: 64050 Proyecto Plan ALGECO2.
