Antifungal Activity of Rosy Rose- Herbal Skin Cream

Abstract

Medicinal plants were used in the formulation of this herbal face cream and the ingredients were found to be good, with a pleasant odour. Parameters like physical appearance, pH, irritancy, washability, viscosity, after feel, phase separation, spreadability, greasiness, and stability test were screened and were favourable with a good aesthetic appeal. The objective of this study was to assess the quality of the cream Rosy Rose. The search for naturally occurring compounds to treat skin diseases and blood purification has become quite intense due to the side effects of synthetic drugs. This herbal cream was studied for its ability to treat skin disease and fungal diseases caused by Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. These pathogens are the root cause of vulvovaginal candidiasis. The prepared cream is compared with the synthetic drug fluconazole. Thus, it can be used as a better replacement and alternative to treat vulvovaginal candidiasis. It is cost-effective to manufacture, free from harsh chemicals, and can be stored for a longer time.
