Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents a transformative technological paradigm in which physical objects are embedded with sensors, software, and connectivity, enabling them to collect, exchange, and act upon data over the internet. IoT has rapidly emerged as a key enabler of smart systems, influencing diverse domains such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, smart cities, industrial automation, and home automation. This book aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts, architectures, and technologies that underpin the Internet of Things. It covers essential topics including IoT components, sensors and actuators, communication protocols, cloud integration, data analytics, and security considerations. The material is organized in a logical and progressive manner to help learners build a strong conceptual and practical foundation. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications and hands-on understanding, supported by illustrative diagrams, case studies, and practical examples.
