This deliverable (D1.4 Methodology beta version) builds upon D1.3 - User Journey Maps and User Guidance (Rudolph et al., 2023b), and describes the workflow of the INDUSAC piloting, which has several phases. In the Planning phase, companies identify a challenge and students/researchers are made aware of the project opportunities. In the Onboarding phase, companies register on the INDUSAC platform and issue a Challenge. During the Search phase, students/researchers select appropriate Challenges, assemble co-creation teams and submit Motivation Letters, and the INDUSAC Evaluation Board and the companies carry out the selection of co-creation teams to solve their Challenges. During the Project phase, selected co-creation teams proceed with solving the Challenge with assistance from the company. INDUSAC will provide students, researchers and companies with tailored guidance packages to support their co-creation experience. Finally, during the Offboarding phase, co-creation projects are completed and both companies and students/researchers provide feedback on the process. The process ends when the company confirms the completion of the co-creation project (the submission of the solution to the Challenge) including the reporting duties, and researchers and students receive the INDUSAC certificate whereas participating student members of the co-creation teams are in addition eligible to receive funding up to 1,000 EUR gross per student (with a max of 3,000 EUR gross per team). Challenges and Motivation Letters are submitted continuously, with three cut-off dates at which collected Motivation Letters are reviewed and co-creation teams are selected to carry out the co-creation projects within four to eight weeks. The methodology also presents the Invitation to universities, Call for companies and Call for students and researchers, where terms and conditions for all participants are listed, including the aspects of geographical coverage, gender balance and internationalisation, status requirements, as well as confidentiality and intellectual property. The INDUSAC methodology will be successively improved until the project’s end.
