Abstract

Seit 1980 liefert der Epidemiologische Suchtsurvey (ESA) kontinuierlich Daten zum Substanzkonsum und seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre auch zu Indikatoren des problematischen Substanzkonsums bzw. substanzbezogenen Störungen in der Allgemeinbevölkerung. Substanzbezogene Störungen basieren auf Kriterien des Diagnostischen und Statistischen Manuals Psychischer Störungen IV (DSM-IV). Der Vorteil dieser wiederholten, gut vergleichbaren Querschnittsbefragungen liegt in den vielfältigen Möglichkeiten zur Analyse zeitlicher Veränderungen (Olderbak et al., 2025).Im Jahr 2024 nahmen Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Hessen und Sachsen an der Zusatzerhebung teil, was die Möglichkeit bietet, bundeslandspezifisch repräsentative Aussagen zur Verbreitung des Substanzkonsums und der damit einhergehenden Probleme zu treffen. Im vorliegenden Bericht werden die aktuelle Situation im Jahr 2024 sowie die zeitlichen Trends des Konsumverhaltens für Tabak, Alkohol, Cannabis, illegale Drogen und Medikamente in den vier beteiligten Bundesländern dargestellt und mit den Ergebnissen der bundesweiten Erhebung verglichen.
