Abstract

Forschungsdatenmanagement kann viel mehr als nur lästige Pflichterfüllung sein, um die wachsenden Anforderungen der Fördermittelgebenden zu erfüllen. Mit der ersten FDM@HSOS-Workshopserie bieten wir interdisziplinäre und standortübergreifende Kurse an der Hochschule Osnabrück an, um vor allem Forschenden und Promovierenden an der Hochschule eine einführende Orientierung im Forschungsdatenmanagement zu ermöglichen, sich mit den Grundbegriffen, Standardmethoden und Best Practices vertraut zu machen und ihnen den Mehrwert des FDMs für sich und ihren Forschungsalltag näher zu bringen. Die Folien sind Teil der vierten Sitzung. Sie vermitteln einen Überblick über die Unterschiede zwischen digitalen (Langzeit-)Archiven, Repositorien und Forschungsdatenzentren, den richtigen Zeitpunkt, um mit der Repositoriensuche zu beginnen sowie Ressourcen, mit Hilfe derer Repositorien oder Forschungsdatenzentren zum Teilen eigener oder zum Finden nachnutzbarer Daten recherchiert werden können. Zusätzlich addressieren sie die häufigsten Probleme bei der Repositoriensuche und zeigen einige Lösungsstrategien dafür auf.
