Abstract

Introducción a la simbología del plano arquitectónico. Una guía para leer y dibujar el proyecto es una publicación docente orientada a la enseñanza inicial de la representación arquitectónica. El libro parte de una premisa fundamental: antes de aprender a dibujar, es necesario aprender a leer el plano como un lenguaje gráfico preciso, regido por convenciones, jerarquías y sistemas de representación. La obra presenta, de forma clara y progresiva, los principales símbolos y grafismos utilizados en los planos de arquitectura —tipos de planta, secciones, alzados, niveles, cotas, líneas, escalas, referencias de corte, elementos constructivos y equipamiento— explicando su significado, su función y su correcta utilización. El enfoque no es normativo ni dependiente de software, sino proyectual: el dibujo se entiende como una herramienta de pensamiento y verificación del proyecto, no como un mero ejercicio gráfico. El contenido está dirigido principalmente a estudiantes de primer curso de arquitectura y diseño, aunque resulta igualmente útil como material de consulta para docentes y profesionales interesados en reforzar criterios básicos de lectura y representación. El libro se enmarca en las actividades del Grupo de Innovación Docente Consolidado de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Metodologías Proyectuales Experimentales y Creativas (GIDEMPEC), y se publica en acceso abierto bajo licencia Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional (CC BY 4.0).
