CURRENT TRENDS IN CLINICAL PRACTICE: EVIDENCE-BASED DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Contemporary clinical practice is undergoing rapid transformation driven by advances in biomedical research, diagnostic technologies, digital health solutions, and the widespread adoption of evidence-based medicine (EBM). Evidence-based diagnosis and management have become fundamental principles guiding clinical decision-making across all medical specialties. By integrating high-quality scientific evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values, EBM aims to improve diagnostic accuracy, optimize treatment outcomes, and enhance patient safety. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of current trends in clinical practice, focusing on evidence-based approaches to diagnosis and management. Key topics include the theoretical foundations of EBM, modern diagnostic strategies, laboratory and imaging advancements, clinical decision support systems, guideline-based management, rational pharmacotherapy, non-pharmacological interventions, personalized medicine, and patient-centered care. In addition, the challenges and limitations of implementing evidence-based practice in real-world clinical settings are discussed, along with future directions for modern healthcare systems. Understanding these trends is essential for clinicians, medical students, and healthcare professionals seeking to deliver high-quality, effective, and sustainable medical care.
