Albatrellus shouxiangu Xin Zhang, Y.C. Dai & H.M. Zhou, sp. nov. Figs. 2, 3. MycoBank: MB857685 Etymology: — Shouxiangu refers to the famous Chinese pharmaceutical company, “ Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd”. Diagnosis: — Albatrellus shouxiangu resembles A. macrosporus H.M. Zhou et al., but differs from A. macrosporus by smaller basidiospores (4.4–5.5 × 3.9–4.8 μm vs. 6.2–8 × 5–6.5 μm) and pores (3–5 per mm vs. 2–3 per mm; Zhou et al. 2025). Holotype: — CHINA. Zhejiang Province, Jinhua, Wuyi County, Niutoushan National Forest Park, on the ground in the forest of Vaccinium, 13. August 2023, Dai 25607 (holotype, BJFC043156). Basidiomata: —Basidiomata annual, terrestrial, centrally to eccentrically stipitate, solitary or a few confluent. Pilei semicircular to circular, applanate with a depressed center, margin initially reflexed, turning incurved and wavier upon drying, up to 4 cm in diam and 4 mm thick at the center. Pileal surface saffron (1 B 7) when juvenile, sulphur-yellow (1 A 4) to buff (2 A 3) when mature with irregular yellow (1 A 5) or white (1 A 1) patches, becoming olivaceous buff (3 B 4) to grayish brown (5D5) when dry, smooth, azonate. Pore surface white (1 A 1) when fresh, becoming cream (2 A 2) to buff (2 A 3) when dry; pores circular to angular, 3–5 per mm; dissepiments thin, entire. Context thick at center, sharply thinning towards margin, white (1 A 1) when fresh, cream (2 A 2), and brittle when dry, up to 2.4 mm thick. Tubes concolorous with pore surface, brittle when dry, decurrent, up to 1.6 mm long. Stipe straw-yellow (2 A 4) when fresh, grayish-brown (5D5) when dry, up to 2.8 cm long, 7 mm in diam. Hyphal structure: —Hyphal system monomitic; generative hyphae thin- to thick-walled, simple septate. Pileipellis: —Generative hyphae slightly thick-walled, frequently branched, interwoven, simple septate, IKI+, CB–, 3–8 μm in diam, sometimes inflated up to 12 μm in diam; shapeless oily substance exuding from the hyphae, becoming dark bluish gray in KOH and yellowish brown to reddish brown in Melzer’s reagent; gloeoplerous hyphae abundant, thick-walled, 3–8 μm in diam, sometimes inflated up to 13 μm in diam. Context: —Generative hyphae hyaline, slightly thick- to distinctly thick-walled, frequently branched, interwoven, simple septate, IKI–, CB–, 3–12 μm in diam, sometimes inflated up to 15 μm in diam; gloeoplerous hyphae infrequent, slightly thick- to thick-walled, 3–12 μm in diam, sometimes inflated up to 16 μm in diam. Stipe: —Generative hyphae hyaline, thick-walled, rarely branched, loosely interwoven, simple septate, IKI–, CB–, 4–15 μm in diam, sometimes inflated up to 22 μm in diam; shapeless oily substance rarely exuding from the hyphae. Tubes: —Generative hyphae thin- to slightly thick-walled, rarely branched, interwoven, simple septate, IKI–, CB–, uniformly 2–5 μm in diam; gloeoplerous hyphae rare; cystidia and cystidioles absent; basidia clavate with four sterigmata and a simple septum at the base, 16–28 × 6–9 μm. Spores: —Basidiospores subglobose, hyaline, thick-walled, smooth, often with a large guttule, weakly IKI+, CB–, (4.1–)4.4–5.5(–5.7) × (3.7–)3.9–4.8(–5) μm, L = 4.96 μm, W = 4.37 μm, Q = 1.12–1.16 (n = 90/3). Additional specimens examined (paratypes): — CHINA. Zhejiang Province, Jinhua, Wuyi County, Niutoushan National Forest Park, on ground in forest of Vaccinium, 13 August 2023, Dai 25605 (BJFC043154), Dai 25608 (BJFC043157).
