Methane concentrations in the water and ice columns of thermokarst ponds in Subarctic Norway

Abstract

The dataset presents methane concentrations measured in the water and ice columns of nine shallow ponds located in two permafrost peatlands (Iškoras and Áidejávri) in northern Norway during the 2023–2024 ice-cover season. The dataset also contains pH and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) for both ice and water samples, pond coordinates, and pond depths.
